Coordinating Office, Headquarters

Tampa, Florida

The DACCO – New Columbus Campus is a 63,100 s.f. master-planned development consolidating multiple treatment programs and services for adults and children located throughout Hillsborough County for DACCO. The 3-story, 60,300 s.f. main building includes: Women’s Residential Treatment, Women’s Day Treatment and Outpatient Services, Child Development Center and Administration Headquarters. Common areas utilized by all treatment programs include: Multi-Purpose/Staff Dining Room and Client Dining Room served by a 930 s.f. commercial kitchen, a School Testing/Classroom and Exercise Room Laundry Room. Other program elements in the main building include Group Rooms, Counselor Offices, a Medical Clinic, a Drug Screening Lab and Short-Term Living Facilities.  In addition to the main building, an independent 1-story duplex unit Family Treatment Facility is provided on the site. Future expansion is planned to include up to 26,500 s.f.  At the start of construction, there were two (2) existing buildings on the site utilized by DACCO for Women’s Residential Treatment. Due to the potential negative impacts on patients, use of these buildings could not be interrupted. Therefore, a phased construction effort was required. Mason Blau & Associates, Inc. worked diligently with the Owner, Construction Manager, and design team to insure the project schedule and budget were met.
